How to fill in V55/5 for Honda TRX250TE - Want agri reg

Hi, i want to agri reg my TRX250TE which i bought last Saturday. I have a Certificate of Age from Honda, it is insured with the farm contents - so how do i go about filling in this blasted form!!!!!!!!???

Also, this is the first time the quad will be registered so how much is the 1st reg fee to DVLA?

take it down to your local dvla office and get a hand to
fill it in...£55

£55 1st reg. fee and probably just as easy going into a local DVLA Office, get your ticket no. and patiently wait your turn for one of those ever so helpful paranoid bullet-proof glass clad civil servants to do exactly that serve

Many thanks for the replies, but would really like to just fill it in, as I dont have a day off to go 100 miles one-way to the DVLA office. How much info needs to be on the form? I have stated the make, model, vin no, certificate of age, thats about all I know.

do i need to enclose the policy details (its insured with farm contents)?? what about the question type approval? they should be able to answer that, not me?? in the intended use question, should i state 'agriculture'??

Not sure if DVLA would accept contents insurance as a suitable policy They may want to see the quad in any event, from what you've just asked DVLA helpline springs to mind

To anybody who wants to agri reg a quad, I found this process very easy. Just e-mailed Honda asking for age certificate (came back in 3days) asked DVLA to send me the forms, I needed V55/5 (arrived in 4days), insured the quad with farm contents - telephoned DVLA and spoke to a very helpful person and found out that the form didn't need to be fully completed, she said to include a letter stating why I needed agri reg - included a cheque of £55 along with other docs mentioned above, also my driving licence (card & paper) - job done.

Really easy process IMO -
