The quad overall is brilliant, the power is instantanious! The quad came fitted with an aftermarket HMF exhaust system on it and to be honest it sounds soooooo goooddd, I have recently fitted a dyno jet kit but ive not had a proper shot of the quad since fitted, i put new chain and sprockets (I dropped a tooth or 2 at the rear sprocket to keep the front end down a bit!
The power from engine to the wheels is scary, it lifts in 1st 2nd and 3rd gear from idle speed, just give it the gutty and your near enough on the grab rail.
The shocks are phanominal! you can ajust the stiffness with just a few clicks! the rebound is good but i need to ajust that next time i go out... Its great that you get FOX racing shocks as standered as ive found these alot better than the ltz400 shocks.
the looks are very smart, looks like a very aggrisive quad which it is!
mine is fitted with douglas racing rims but im not sure if these come as standered?
Stock tyres are not the best, ive bought bear claws for the back and claw-off's for the front which make a good mix...
overall for value for money for this quad i would give it 9/10!
never had a problem yet, always starts on the button!
If you have 2k spare i would buy one of these, its the most fun you will ever have ________________________

Iceman23 has a spare set of plastics in very good condition for a Pred 500, not sure what colour they are though, just in case you would like a spare set. ________________________

| Reality check required here I think lol .
I have a 2006 Predator and really like it, it handles great, is comfortable and is quite fast, to describe it as Fagan1 does is like saying Gordon Brown is the most charismatic Prime Minister this country has ever seen, such exaggeration LOL .
True, a Pred will hold its own quite well against other quads, including a 700 Raptor (in standard tune), to say it will lift the front wheels in 1st, 2nd and 3rd at idle is utter nonsense, the Pred was designed to keep the front down under hard acceleration .
I have had mine from new and done over 4000 miles on it, green laning and road and think the Pred is a great quad and certainly built to last, we have a great variety of quads on our group rides and its up there with the best of them .
It has been 100% reliable and enjoyable .
Fagan1, if the power of a Pred scares you then you have obviously never ridden anything seriously fast !! ________________________

How are you Gaz ?
Back to the topic, I think its disappointing that Polaris only offers new sports quads with the KTM motors, they should have made an option of the new Outlaw with the lighter frame etc and the old Pred 500cc engine, I would have been keen to buy one of those and not the high maintenance KTM variants . ________________________
