Throat slashed in quad bike accident
A WOMAN'S throat has been slashed when she drove into a fence while riding a quad bike north of Rockhampton this afternoon.
When emergency services received the call around midday, the woman, aged in her 20s, was "conscious and talking".
The RACQ CQ Rescue helicopter flew to the injured woman on a property 160km west of
Moranbah.
"The woman has collided with a fence at neck height causing a laceration to her throat," a rescue helicopter spokesperson said.
Ambulance officers were on the scene at 1.43pm. The helicopter was expected to reach the property around 2.30pm.
