Post Offroad and byway routes in yorkshire?

Ive been looking for places to ride my quad offroad but havnt had much luck.I normally ride south cave quarry every sunday which is good fun but lately the police have been coming on trying to move us.Ive spoken to the farmer who owns the land and he has no problem with us being there aslong as theres no fires or general mess,i explained this to the police and they left us alone with no problems.

The other place ive ridden only once, its called fosse cross near Brandesburton. This is an old land fill site (i didnt know before i went) and the smell hits you when you arrive! Although its been covered over with wood chippings the smell still comes through and lingers on your quad/bike afterwards. The track is ok and you soon forget the smell once your tearing over good high jumps around the short demanding circuit.the 4x4 track is rather challeging and i dont mind admitting that i didnt attempt the steepest climb.theres also a kiddies track witch is v.small and any child would be bored after 30-40 mins. The price was £15 per adult vechile but i knocked the guy down to £10 as i didnt think the track was worth £15 all day. There was a free jet wash afterwards but if there wasnt this place would be a health issue, lets just say i wouldnt like to cut myself on there and its highly unlikely il be returning...sorry fosse cross!!

Im now planning a ride out to the yorkshire dales, i live in Hull and its a 120 mile round trip to the dales so im just checking it out at the moment.Ive also been searching for routes in the north yorkshire moors.

If anyone knows of trails, treks, offroad or byway/green lane routes in Yorkshire a reply would be much appreciated.

Welcome to the forum d00d

We ride the Yorkshire Dales sometimes....all the legal lanes in UK can be found on this map.....

Google Maps display for Trailwise

Just click and zoom on the area you interested in and then click 'search for tracks' , check the info panel on the right to see any restrictions, click on the UID number hyperlink to open up start and finish points on OS map ;)
