| | Re: quadzilla 320 cvt sport upgrades hi yer, iv got a 320e which i boght for my son to use, now ive put a twist grip throttle on and 34tooth rear sprocket on, but for some reason it still only does 55mph? its being restricted still somewhere but this is help which i now need. the carbs look awkward to get at and iv been advised to check the drive belt? so will take the casing off to see if it travels fully on the pulley? well thats what ive been told? so will wait and see... |

| | Re: quadzilla 320 cvt sport upgrades hi guys gonna be fitting my 34 t sprocket on it this week so will see, can understand why it dont do more than 55 mph with different gearing makes no sense, have u guys done anything else like exhaust? and did the 34t sprocket reduce acceleration? also theres a company called dr pulley if they can do some sliders to replace existing rollers then top speed will definately be increased keep us up to speed with progress |

| | Re: quadzilla 320 cvt sport upgrades ok guys right the reason why the 320 still only reads 55mph even when changing rear sprocket is because the speedo pick up is on the gearbox sprocket so that actually dosent rotate any faster hence why still reads 55mph when actually uve changed the rear sprocket which is in turn turning the wheels at a different speed so u are actually doing more than the said speedo, apparently u can calibrate the speedo on these but ive yet to find out and will let u know wen i know how its done ,the best thing is to go out with some form of sat nav with speedo reading on it and compare, other bikes i.e the 450 speedo is picked up off the rear sprocket so the speedo will read higher when u change down teeth but the 320 cvt is from the front off the gearbox hope that helps and cheers every one up as u have done a mod and u are achieveing more speed lol |

| | Re: quadzilla 320 cvt sport upgrades ok update on 34t sprocket change dont buy it as loss of acceleration and no more top speed unless i got a airplane runway to hold it open for long enough, will possibly try the wileyco exhaust see if this gives me back some power and acceleration and a up jet too, going to look into the automatic belt drive and sliders to see if belt is at its maximum and if any rollers/sliders can be got hold of and a better clutch to raise the power and top speed failing that there also may be a restrictor in the speedo not allowing high enough revs for top speed so may be worth disconnecting speedo and going out with a sat nav or gps to check if getting anymore top speed, seems silly as a 50 cc derestricted moped can do 60 mph so a 291 cc auto should be able to with no problems i will get there in the end !! |

| | Re: quadzilla 320 cvt sport upgrades i think it could be somthing in the speedo, like you said seems silly it can only get to 55 (i got 56 down hill with the wind behind me) im still running mine in at the moment so havent really gone past half/three quater revs yet
let us know if you get a result :) |

| | Re: quadzilla 320 cvt sport upgrades to be honest i wish i hadnt wasted 40 pound on the sprocket, as now its got less acceleration and gave me no more top end but 40 pound short of money i wouldnt recommend anyone buy 1,i think the power gains to be achieved are gonna be in the auto box side of things i.e rollers or sliders and hit clutch as this is where the mopeds get there most improvement on power and they get 60 mph out of a 50 cc so a 291 cc quadbike should be able to achieve 65mph with some small mods easily!! SO SAVE UR MONEY GUYS DONT BUY THAT SPROCKET! |

| | Re: quadzilla 320 cvt sport upgrades ok stripped the auto box /belt side and the belt rides up to the top of the pulley so no scope there i guess with the setup that it has that variator and rollers isnt designed to go any faster only other thing is the exhaust may be restrictive and the airfilter and air box is definately restricted of air flow and maybe the speedo may have some speed restriction on it could disconect the speedo and go out with a sat nav or gps and see if u get anymore speed with it disconnected |

| | Re: quadzilla 320 cvt sport upgrades well guys look like we all been a bit done with this, the gearbox is a constant velocity gear box so it does was it says on the box, stays constant, the rear sprocket change doesnt help as the chain mearly drives the rear wheel.. now speaking to manic quads they believe that the cdi unit is also reponsible for the restriction and there are no performance enhanced replacements, replacing the exhaust will give a bit more oomph in accelerating but will not alter top end.... im going back yo where i purchased twist grip and sprocket as they were advertised as not doing the job they supposedly should, i even phoned and had aconversation before buying.. will let you know what happens..... going to sell cvt and buy something else.. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
