Maybe no help....but i bought my 250 with a DEP exhaust fitted and the guy had up'd the jets and also, added some rubber gromets under the screws on the lid of the airbox to allow more air in (it's also fully revesible....saves drilling any holes in it). Now, i havent ridden a standard Stinger 250, but mine pulls well and runs evenly. I'm informed that it is quicker than a standard one (or one running a DEP exhaust with standard jets)....but I dont know. Whenever ive "played" with any of my 2 wheeled bikes exhausts...where applicable, ive always done the jets....!

Carb's can be tricky little things....I'd get someone to do it if it was me....BUT, that said, if you're at all technical, it's nt a tricky job, as long as you know how to set it up (or have the rigth equipment to!). Mine is running up'd jets and the air filter is standard, but the air filter lid is slightly raised (using the grommets I mentioned0 so as to let a bit more air in. Worx for mine

changing the jets is a doddle, they just screw out of the end once you have taken the bowl off, you will have to drop the needle E clip one notch too (the needle, thats the pointy bit under the carb slider;))

I think the standard main jet in the 250 is 108?? Try a 112.5 or even a 115, don't go paying silly money for them on eBay though (like £5 each:w00t::w00t:), cos last time I bought some they were 89p each from a local motorbike shop

To be honest, apart from making it run sweeter with filter and zaust on, I didn't really notice that much more power, it just drank more fuel....!!!

Probably not? take it off and have a look if it is same diameter as carb/manifold
