How do you know what year your LTR is?

How do you tell what year your LTR450 is? I was told mine was a 2007 model but was road registered in 2008.

Mine also has different wheels on it so can't really use the year stamp on the wheels as a guide. So what else can I look for?

frame number will have the date on, its last 2 numbers on the frame number

However, that doesn't see to make sense with my frame number as it ends with, what looks like, 15.
