Quad Bike: Nothing at the moment
| | Hi peeps! Hi all my name is matt, from newport in south wales, I havent currently got a quad bike however i am thinking of buying a new raptor 700 for just off roading,
Thing is thou I have phoned up many quad biking centre's where you pay to ride there quads and they couldnt tell me where you can take your own private quad, is there anywhere in south wales where you can ride your quad off road?? I heard rumors that there's a track up WENTWOOD FOREST which is only a 10minute from me is there any where else?? cheers all |

| | Re: Hi peeps! Welcome to the forum!
there is a place called Toms Farm in mid wales (rhayader) which is a very big site and a lot of fun for £10 ! and there is a place called K Quads in south wales. ask as many farmers as you can if you can ride on their land, they often let you if you give them a bit of cash!
are you sure you want a 2wd quad for just offroading though? they do get stuck a lot and you could get a very nice second hand can am renegade 800 for the price of a new raptor (or any 4x4 quad - not trying to start another raptor v renegade thread!!) ________________________

| | Re: Hi peeps! Hi cheers m8, i didnt realise the raptor 700 was 2wheel drive :( which quads are 4x4 and are really fast as you can see from what im saying i know jack s..t about quads lol, just want something fast looks good, i am 1 for adding performance parts, i currently weigh just under 15 stone hopefully the time i do get a quad i aint weighing nearly 18 stone lol, whats usually the riding weight limit on a quad? a few suggestions would be good m8 as in performance, reliability, tuneability etc cost aint really a problem, cheers m8 |

Can-Am is the equivalent of a rolls royce in the quad world (some people arent gonna like me saying that LOL ) but deffo if money is no option then that is the quad you want, you can even get them with power steering ________________________

| | Re: Hi peeps! Getting a clean quad takes a bit of time, pressure washing tends to be the easiest way of doing it!
With a raptor there is many many accessories you can get to either bling it up, or make it go that 10% faster. It is a rear wheel drive, but that will tend to give you better performance. Renegades are ideal when the going gets sticky and grip is a premium, but to be honest its down to what you prefer.
The 450's tend to be the quicker bikes around - built for speed and throwing around in corners, but they lack the re verse gear of a Raptor or renegade. It is all down to personal preference.....
In terms of tracks, isnt there one around cardiff? Otherwise there is plenty of clubs to go join that you can go race or marshall at DQR, Gravity, MWTRA, ORE. |
